So this Place on the beach is a dream. Relaxed sunbeds not too close to each other, a cool bar with really nice crew. Excellent food and drinks! 5 Stars for me!

The best papanasi ever! Awesome dough and sourcream like no place else! We also had 3 types of fish, all were very good, big portions and well made. Delicious food, affordable prices. Service a bit slow considering there were not many guests but OK overall. Food is worth it!

We liked the food we ordered, the salads were very well prepared, the octopus carpaccio was nice but the avocado was a too much. The ceviche was also tasty but again too much avocado. The food was tasty all in all, the ambience was also comfortable and the service good. The cocktails we had were very well made, the paloma tasted like in Mexico. The only thing I did not like and it happened for the second time in Romania is that the restaurant charges the tip automatically. This should NOT happen!! A tip is a gesture completely up to the guest, and it should not be started/charged as an item in the bill, the waitress told us about it, when we tried to add the tip to our bill, but again it is just a matter of principle. Why would you do that? Check your bill.

We are a bit late with the review, since we were dining at Mackerel in September 2024, but just in time before the next warm season starts! This was our favorite restaurant in all of Mamaia. We came here 4/5 days and ended up regretting that it wasn’t 5/5 days. That’s right, we regretted not eating here every single day. The food was exceptional; the best octopus we ever tried! Portions are big and the prices are adequate, especially considering the quality you get. Service was also fantastic and a special thank you goes to Alina, the incredible chef of Mackerel and just a great, outstanding person! We cannot wait to go back to Mamaia just to eat that octopus and see Alina again!

The menu contains various recipes to choose from and the food itself is very tasty. When it comes to individuals who have allergies to different ingredients, the cooks are knowledgeable and are prepared to modify their dishes in order to avoid any possible complications or effects.
